Over recent years,\u00a0React<\/strong>\u00a0has grown to become the most popular and widely-used JavaScript UI library (or framework as some might call it) out there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

And with this popularity came a lot of new\u00a0opportunities<\/strong>\u00a0for both fresh and mature web developers through tons of new jobs, offers, and other React-connected tasks that are currently flooding the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so, if you’re just getting into this whole web development stuff, and want to start learning React right away, here’s something for you! I’ve compiled a list (so you don’t have to) of, what in my opinion, are the best free<\/strong> and up-to-date<\/strong> resources to learn React in 2020!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official documentation<\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

How predictable, I know. But the truth is the official React documentation is often the most up-to-date and reliable source for information about everything new and specific inside the world of React.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the API documentation, the website offers a getting started guide, an in-depth tutorial, and a few additional guides for more advanced features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video courses<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

If you prefer a more visual rather than text format, video courses might be for you. There are a lot of high-quality and even interactive React courses out there that you can use to kick-start your React journey!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beginner’s Guide to React<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Beginner’s Guide to React is a complete, full-blown course<\/strong> available on egghead.io<\/a>. It’s meant to teach you everything you need to know to get your React skills up and running – from the sole purpose of the library to web app deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn React<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"Learn<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Learn React is another great course. It covers the same broad spectrum of React topics, but even more in-depth. What’s more, the course is available on scrimba.com<\/a> – a great platform dedicated solely to coding tutorials with a built-in editor<\/strong>, to play with the code right when the video is rolling!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FreeCodeCamp<\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

No resource list would be complete without a mention of FreeCodeCamp<\/a> – one of the biggest platforms for learning how to code, with thousands of articles, guides, and tutorials on the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"FreeCodeCamp<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

FreeCodeCamp’s dedicated React series is full of learning material, code examples, and special challenges<\/strong> meant to test your newly acquired knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheatsheets<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Who doesn’t like cheatsheets? They’re portable, easy to grasp, and provide you with ready-to-use code<\/strong> whenever needed. And guess what? – There’s quite a few of them for React, too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

React Cheatsheet<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

React Patterns<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For more advanced React users, who just want to relax while still learning something new, the React Podcast<\/strong> might be a way to go. While not a learning resource pre-se, the podcast can help you get a better grasp of the React and overall web dev ecosystem<\/strong>, as well as an overview of recommended techniques and practices. Just something to broaden your horizons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blogs<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Blogs form the backbone of the Web’s entire knowledge base. It’s no surprise that there are quite a few of them focused on React!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dev.to<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"Dev.to<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Not as much of a blog, rather than a blogging platform. Dev.to<\/a> is a place with a friendly atmosphere were developers come around to discuss and learn about different topics. Here, the #react<\/strong> tag is the one you’ll be interested in. There’s a ton of articles, tutorials, and discussions there already, with more coming out every day! So, if you haven’t already, I highly recommend you check out and join Dev.to!<\/del> just follow the right tag. ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overreacted.io<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A personal blog by Dan Abramov<\/a> – one of the core developers behind React and co-author of Redux<\/a>. You must know that it’s not a place for complete beginners. Here, you can find quite a few in-depth posts about React and its internal structure<\/strong>. If you want to know a little bit more about the framework, this is a great place to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

React Resources<\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

If you think that everything I’ve just listed is not enough, I think you might want to check React Resources<\/strong>. It’s a website that collects and categorizes a lot of different React resources from around the Web. It all might not be as up-to-date or high-quality as everything listed here, but you can be certain that you’ll find there pretty much everything you need – if you look close enough, that is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
